~A simple 23rd Affair~

A typical bday treat cum date where boy meets girl,
went for a movie & coversations over a simple dinner.
Simple yet, its the thoughts that counts.

A walk at Botanical Gardens at 11pm was the supposed
intention to give the bday boy a mini surprise with 3
of his frens, with half-melted cake awaiting for him.

With the ramblings frm us against the serenity of the
atmosphere on a cooling night, it was just pure bliss.

Went raya visiting with my MDIS cliques
on Oct 10, 2009. Which also happened to
be the mom's 42nd birthday. Hence the

~the most creative presentation~

Had our Human Pharmacology & Physiology (HPPL)
presentation on September 16, 2009 on Wed night.
And ours was deemed to be as the most creative
presentation in the entire class. Why??
Simply bcoz we did videos & a skit while presenting
our case study, ie. Fref Field's Heart Failure.
Awesome? Yes!! Funny? Definitely!!!

Hopefully we score high for our creativity(15%)
to at least help us get a higher mark. And of coz
the cam-whoring while we waited for the train hme.

Nek biah masak nasi tomato, ayam masak merah, rendang daging,
sambal sotong & paling best skali, sambal goreng pengantin!!!
Sedap giler!!!smpi dua kali tambah nasi tau. Rugi klau tk mkn.

Last hse for the day was my mom's kakak angkat's hse.

It was at simei. Old sweet memories babe. We received

$10 frm cik mi & uncle imran respectively. Aftr all, we've

knwn them for at least 2 decades & has been our closest

neighbour & friends ever since we're toddlers.

Wondering wht's with all the red heels??

Im desperately looking for a pair of RED

heels/wedges to match with my raya costume.

Actually its nt really a MUST since i already

bought a pair of black suede heels frm Charles

& Keith a few days ago. I wanted to get the purple-ish

red heels bt they didnt hve the smallest size left.

Saw another red pair of peep-toed heels which they

didnt hve size for me too. So i decided to take the black

pair & shall search high & low for THAT red pair of heels.

The discussion at Starbucks turned out to be so
divine. This small lil' cake will never deceive you.
Especially when satisfying your guilty pleasures.
Forget all those calories & whatever-nots. This
lovely creation will definitely let you indulge in
all its sweet chocolatey flavours to the very last
crumb & drop. For $6.50, i wouldnt mind hving
this as dessert almost every other day.

At the very first break of the cake, the warm chocz
just oozed out frm the cake. Literally. Oh...such
divine creations. Such sinful savoury.

Who cn resist such sinful temptations?

-Reunion.Arnolds.Laughter-

A reunion cum iftar with the Pondok Batu guys was
pre-planned abt 2wks in advance since everyone's
busy with sch & work. And finally aftr soooooo long,
we finally managed to do sme catching up.

We break our fast at Arnolds at 9pm ONLY!!!OMG!!

Made reservation at abt 6pm but the gerl said tt seats

are available roughly abt 8pm. So we took the queue no.

We bought drinks frm 7-11 to batalkn puasa. Stood in the

midst of the walkway & talked & the guys decided on gg

for their prayers. Not all of coz. Zak,Acap & Yazid kn tgh

menses.hahaha.We made our way back to City Plaza at 8.

BUT guess wht!!!The queue no. showed 41 & ours was

20 nos. AWAY!!OMG!!!*slaps forehead*

Disebabkn nk sgt mkn Arnolds,sanggup kitorng tunggu

kt luar smpi no. kiter. We had already placed orders for

2x of 5meal combo.Whn our food cme,ar...Amik kau!!

Ayam smpi 30keping for 9 of us.hahaha..Sumer complain

kebulur...bt biler dah mkn half-way,sumer dah tk bleh

abis. Nasib baik Munir,Hakim,Azali & gf w/me bleh tlg

abiskn. Licin sumer kiter abiskn.

Perut dah kembong, apalagi, jln2 bazaar lah. Sapernye

idea ntah nk gie jln kt bazaar. SESAK nafas!!hahahah.

Panas nk mamz plak tu..haiz.Klau tau gie patah alik

kt pondok batu & lepak. Teringt plak zaman2 spf dulu2.

hahaha...Kenangan babe. Dah tk bleh tahan nye psl,

masok Joo Chiat Complex juz for the sake nk amik aircon.

Sempat jugak amik pics kt tgh2 maner ntah.Dah puas

amik gambar,patah alik ke City Plaza. Salam & said

An awesome night to be able to relive the gd' old days

Raya reunion 2009 is a MUST!

-Fish & Co.Quality time.Pasir Ris Park-

Had Fish & Co. with the boyfie for our break of fast
at TM. It was boyfie's 1st and my second there. The
first being at Suntec City's w/the crazy bunch of grp
mates the day before. Told the boyfie abt how nice
their Fried Calamari Rings & their Seafood baked rice.
All for less than $15 including srvc charge & GST/person.
So boyfie suggested to go there whn he receives his paycheck.
But instead,we ended gg there the following day itself.
We had their Swiss Fish & Chips,Chockie Junkie & their
Calamari Rings. Spent less than $35 for the both of us.
Not tt it was of any matter since it was the boyfie's treat :D

Aftr the dinner, we walked arnd Toys R' Us before
deciding on Pasir Ris Park. Spent sme nice quiet
quality tyme talking crap & of coz the cam-whoring.
At almost 11, we made our way back hme since the
boyfie was working tt midnight.

Thank you sayang for the dinner treat &

One of the other usual meet-ups for project discussions.
At our usual meeting plc AGAIN. At the same timing AGAIN.
Only this time,we had dinner at Mc Donalds aftr so long finally.
The usual bitching conversation w/Mr Koh & all the sex-related
topics tt ONLY he cn think of. And of coz the random ideas &
suggestions tt one of us wud always cme up with & expand it
further, all the funny lil' details which nvr fails to crack us up.

And so, the brilliant idea was to hve Jacq (as Nurse Zanzy) &
Kwan Siong (as Fred Field) to play as a couple who just started
to go on a date whn Fred Field had a heart attack. Tht was
supposed to be our finishing line for the presentation.
Poor Jacq. She had to be the unwilling victim.

Thus, the location on where they're supposed to go on
a date was decided. Esplanade. Lovely scenery. Romantic
setting. Wht more cn a newly dating 'couple' asked for right?
Aftr snapping sme pictures,though it has to remain discreet
amongst us ONLY (to prevent any jealousy), we camwhored
FIRST before we began on our scripts.

Ahhhh. Here comes Mr Fred Field. Our 'MODEL' for
the Singapore River. Dressed in his pink polo tee &
grey pants w/his shoes frm PEDRO, he was feeling
the heat. Right...

And of coz the grp pic of which we weren't able to
hve it snapped w/the scenic view.

Ahhh...The attempted jumpshots which FINALLY
succeeded. And mind you, they're so hyped on taking
so many jumpshots tt they WILLINGLY took off their
shoes & heels ok. Bt aftr they hve had enough, ALL the
3 ladies in the above pic took out their Dettol Wipes &
clean their feet. Whn they ran out of the wipes, they used
tissue with Dettol Hand Sanitizer.hahaha.They're cleanliness
freaks lah seriously. If possible, everything also want to sanitize.

And so, aftr ~~wasting~~ filling our tyme with all the
whatever-nots, we started rehearsing on our scripts
at 10.30pm ONLY. Its a good thing we managed to
keep it within the time limit of 25mins. Once we're done,
i said my gdbyes to them & rode hme w/the boyfie.

-the preview screening-

Fri night (August 28,2009) was supposed to be a karaoke night
with the cliques at Party World. But on wed night, whilst checking
my emails,i received an email frm smeone named Soraya with the
header stating "Message From Golden Village Movie Club Winner:
Invitation to BLOOD TIES Preview Screening".AWESOME kn!!!

And so i won a pair of tixes for the screening on tt very fri which
was screened at 7.15pm at PS GV. hence i wasnt able to make it
for the karaoke. the boyfie & me break our fast in the theatre
while watching the movie. And i found out tt the whole plan was
cancelled due to poor turn-outs.

The movie wasnt even horror. Rated 3/5 personally. Want to knw
wht's it abt??haha!!Wait till the movie's out. On 10th September 2009.

Aftr the movie ended (abt 9.10pm), the boyfie wanted to look
for sme cheap slip-ons. We made our way to the World of Sports
& he ended buying a pair of Etnies Arto Saari for $72.50.It was
on a 50% discount. the boyfie had his eyes on another pair of
Etnies which was tagged at abt $150. Shall get it for his bday
this yr. Probably.Maybe.We'll see. It was almost 11 when we
made our way back hme & decided to give supper a pass since
the boyfie was rushing hme for work.

Probably another movie 2mrw. Had Final Destination 3D in mind.
Or The Proposal. Wht do you suggest??

-the forever-fun laughter meet-ups-

Our late meet-ups at the usual meeting place. Actual
meet-up timings at 6pm-7pm. Full strength only at 8pm.
Dinner at anywhere we cn think of (Brakerzin,Pizza Hut,
Mac Donalds,KFC,Pasta Mania,Fish & Co,Subway) till 9plus.
And the usual discussion pt.:Starbucks at Suntec City.
The usual meeting pts & makan places since the 1st day
of our grp presentation (a yr ago) till today.

Rehearsing of the script for our short skit. Esplanade.
Another meeting pt. esp for skits practice when Nadia's
hse was not available.

And introducing to you readers, my lovely grp members.
They never fail to make me laugh. Always cracking up
sme lame jokes/the bitching w/Mr Koh has always been
so fun & enjoyable. I'll never get tired of them. Seriously.
And honestly, these are the times tt I would willingly look
forward to our project meet-ups/discussions. See. They
make every sec worthwhile. Happiness.

And we would definitely have chocz OVERLOAD whn
it comes to Nadia's crib. Its wht u call "Heavenly Divine".
Her parents welcomes us so homely tt we are sitted comfortably
in our comfort zone, lying on her oh-superrrr-comfy-fluffy
bed, lazying arnd instead of doing our discussions, chocz
FONDUE overload, Aglio Olio/Fried Bee Hoon & Pizza Hut.
See how much she & her mom pampers us. Who could resist
such pampering. I think we spent more time doing whtever-nots
instead of discussions each time we meet-up. Oh well. That's
exactly wht tt makes the whole process so Fun & Lovely.

Speaking of which, Im gonna meet-up with them again.

-the surveying w/the familia-

On a wet, rainy Sunday evening (August 23), the mom decided
tt we shall go to geylang aftr looking through the "First Lady"
booklet. The dad on the other hand, disagreed. Quoted frm him,
"Orng patut cuaca mcm nie,hujan2 duduk kt rmh sudah. Tk pyh
nk kluar2 gie maner2..."...& the mom & dad's conversatn continues.

And as usual, the mom wins. Upon reaching geylang,
dad parked the car at the usual plc. We went to Tanjong
Katong Complex first. Survey a few shops, one of which
had to be First Lady. This year's designs are a lil' bit boring
as compared to the previous years. Colours are dull too.
Except for one of the shops on L2, they had mini kurung in
bold striking colours with a touch of glitz on them. Plus, they're
satin-like material.

We then walked arnd the bazaar & went to Joo Chiat Complex.
Nothing much either. The whole plc seemed dead even aftr the
plc had been revamped. Nxt stop was the new market plc.
All quiet & empty on the L1 but packed w/ppl on L2 as everyone
was finding seats to break their fast. So we decided on bazaar food
instead & broke our fast in the car. Final stop was City Plaza to look
for my shoes. But to no avail. Hence we headed back hme by 9.

-the quickie lunch w/the gfs-

2 missed calls frm an unknown no. A msg frm the same no.,
"Hey fina. Its me Gayathri. Could you please call me back
asap? Its urgent." (On Wed Aug 18)

The returned call to the gf appeared to be an unexpected
surprising news! The gf was just informed by the mom 30mins
before she called me tt she's getting engaged on tt Sat (Aug 22)!!
OMG!!! I was smiling ear-to-ear, happy for the gf while I was
still trying to register the info through my head. She got engaged
to her bf of 2 or was it 3 mths? on Sat of which i wasnt able to attend.
Hence, the lunch with the gf was planned.

Planned with Azlin on the lunch meet-up w/Gayu on fri

aftrnoon aftr i accompanied Azlin to KK Hosp. for the blood

test check-up at 9.30am!!! (Sebabkn kawan, sanggup aku

bgn pagi2 kul 7am utk temankn kwn aku ni sorng gi check-up

die. Kesiankn klau die gie sorng2. Orng tgh pregnant kn paper

jadi aku jugak yg susah. Hubby die plak kene stay dlm camp.

By the time we're done w/the check-up & headed to

PS, it was aready 11.30am & Gayu would be off for

lunch at 12. So we went to the GV main office to collect

my prize & headed to Pizza Hut for our lunch. Gayu cme

5mins ltr & we ordered our food. We talked & laughed like

we used to in MI days. Only difference now is that then we

used to talk abt who's gonna get married 1st, plans aftr 'A'

lvls, where to work,etc...Now, the topics are abt who's gonna

tie the knot nxt, babies, families, honeymoons, etc..

Gosh, i miss them so much tt we could talk abt everything under

the sun. But time doesnt permit us. Hence, Gayu had to head back

to work as she was already half an hr's late. We hugged & said our

goodbyes. Azlin & me then took the train back to tamp & went our

separate ways.

-the new addition to the "much-needed-revamp" closet-

This was bought by the boyfie whn we went to Sentosa

w/the Senioritaz on Sunday (Aug 16). We're supposedly

waiting for Mail & others as they went back to the train

station to look for Mail's lost keys. The boyfie saw this

pair of shoes & was of size 4. He asked me to try it on.

Surprisingly, it fitted my cute lil' feet well & asked me

to get it. Since i was close-to-broke, he insisted on getting

it for me. And so he footed the bill of $25 (aftr discount).

Thnkiu so much syg!! Sayang die bnyk2.hehe.

Another bag to my collection. Was supposed to shop for my

red heels. Instead I ended buying this bag and the blue
denim-like midway jacket, all at Far East. And im so loving

the them (including the shoes) as im into the ol' skool rock

chick look at the moment. Shall shop again aftr raya.

For now, i shall continue to hunt for my much-desired red heels.

-the wet sandy getaway-

It was pre-planned by Olie abt a mth ago for a Senioritaz
get-together/reunion activity before the start of Ramadhan.
Actual meet-up time was 1pm at senior. As usual, punctuality
doesnt exist in the dictionary for us. Syg & me met them at
Siloso straight since the boyfie was late as per normal. Not
everyone turned up either. Less than 20 were present.

Everyone had lunch tt was cooked by Olie's mom while me
& the boyfie headed for the waters first since we had our lunch
before we came. The rest joined us soon aftr & they attempted
to do a human pyramid. They succeeded aftr a few tries.
Syg spent more tyme with me than the rest as he asked me
to hold on to him (im a sucker at swimming) so tt he cn bring
further into the deeper side. We stayed till abt 7pm.

By then we decided to shower & change. Seriously, i wonder

compared to men. I had to wait for eon years for my turn.
Ok.i was exaggerating.still, i waited for abt 80mins before
i can shower. finally. thank god.

would try to squeeze themselves to get their faces into

Enough of pictures, we headed back to Siloso beach statn.
To Vivo we went. Bt since Mail misplaced his keys, sme
accompanied him back to the station while the rest waited.
Me & the boyfie went window-shopping & he bought for me
a pair of sneakers. Whn they returned, we headed to our
means-of-transport respectively and made our way back hme.

.the expected un-satisfaction.
Had a date with the boyfie on tues evening to catch
a movie. Was supposed to meet-up with the rest for
our project discussions bt i had been excused since i
did my part & they understood my need to hve time
spent with the boyfie.*Thnx dearies!!-loved-*

We had 2 tixs for Management at 7.15pm at GV PS.
aftr the movie, we headed down to ION since the
boyfie hasnt been there.walked till closing time before
we head back hme.

accompanied boyfie down to airport to send off my *darling

Bobo off as he'll be furthering his Islamic studies overseas

for abt 4yrs. by 8, we left the airport & headed down to

downtown & met up with nadia b4 making our way to the

chalet. the rest of the cliques began strolling in soon aftr.

Whn everyone was there, took pics of the bday gerl & sang

our hearts out. aftr the cake-cutting, we indulge ourselves

with the widespread of food laid for us. *buffet-cum-BBQ

to Orchard & we shopped!! We bought belts (3 for $10)

& a small clutch for Hui Ting's bday present at far east.

We then head down to Cathay Cineleisure & bought

earrings for ourselves again.

aftr a mere 10mins of walking & found it, we decided

on Coffeebean instead due to the crowd. And another

up & down the escalators, left & right turns, we found

Coffeebean & settled smewhere at a corner.

By then, it was almost 11pm whn we made our way down

~The Ice Cream Outing at Dempsey Road~

It was a random & last min. meet-up with Sue on
friday evening. she suggested tt we go & hve ice-cream
at Ben & Jerry's @ Dempsey Road. we've nvr been there
& we hve no idea exactly where it was. hence, we looked
for directions online. *you must be thinking "why the heck
we go so far when there are other outlets right?"*
we just wanted to explore & the experience was kinda fun
& thrilling actually, to be able to go to new places tt u've
nvr really knw tt they actually exist!!

anyway, met up with sue & headed down to commonwealth
mrt station. met-up with dani (sue's bf) there & took 105
down to holland rd. we're supposed to alight at the 6th stop
bt we missed it. Hence we alighted at Gleneagles Hospital.
we had to walk towards Botanic Garden and walk further
up a hill for another 10mins. since we thought we're lost,
we hailed a cab & told the cab driver to head to blk 8.

Me: Tk cik...kitorng nk gie Ben & Jerry's mkn ice cream.

And less than 5mins ltr we reached. OMG kn!!! *slaps forehead*

once we're there, we're amazed by the ambience of the
place...So relaxing & nostalgic...aftr the waiter had showed
us to our seats, we made ourselves comfy before making
our orders over at the ice cream counter.

Just sme info for you.
- There are several pubs arnd Dempsey Hill.
- You would expect to see expats & business men arnd
driving Ferrari/Lamborghini.
- At this Ben & Jerry's outlet, you cn either dine in, hve
desserts (cakes/ice creams/smoothies/etc) or hve a drink
with your friends as they hve a bar too.
- The pricings are a little bit more of on the ex side.
- Drive/ride your own transport as it is not readily
accessible by public transport.
- But if you hve to, flag a cab up the hill (if you don't mind
paying abt $5) unless you don't mind losing your way.

Route 1:
From Commonwealth MRT station, take bus 105 &
alight at the 6th bus stop at Holland Road (opp.
Pierce Road). Walk down to the main junction & up

the updates of the last two weekends. June 28, 2009.
it was mom & dad's 23rd wedding anniversary.
hence dad decided to bring us out for a dinner buffet
at Sakura, Downtown. we ate to our fill (abt 7rounds
of food i think)...aftr which we headed down to
Mustafa cntr to do sme shopping. And since dad
said we could take anything, me & lil' bro took lots
& lots of chocz...we bought Toblerone pack of 6,
a packet of mini Mars bars, Cadbury chocz in a
mix pack of 4 big bars & those 'Vanhouten-like'
chocz with fruits & nuts.

youngest bro while we're otw to downtown.

the following week itself on mon, i studied at
beloved's wrkplace till abt 11pm before he sent
me hme. Tues we celebrated Kwan Siong's 23rd
birthday in sch aftr lecture & Laura & Dawn gave
me a brown suede bag for my bday.

Wed i was out to bugis with beloved to watch
Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen at the
new mall for the 7.30pm seating. We bought the
nachos combo as usual & OMG!!! you hve to
top-up an additional $2.20 for extra cheese!!
that's DAYLIGHT robbery!!
GV only charges an extra $0.50 for more cheese.
so NOT WORTH IT!! aftr the movie, we went hme.

On fri, dad sent me n lil' bro to CDC to enroll our
class 3.aftr taking the queue no. & hving to wait
for almost an hr (when it was only 6 nos. away),
whn it was our turn, the lady at the counter
told us to take another queue no. & wait coz
for those who wants to enrol as a private candidate,
you hve to do it at a diff. counter. WTF!!!!
i wasted my time coming down only to hve a 2min
conversation with the lady telling me tt it was at
a wrong counter whn they didnt even state anywhere
tt sch/private candidates are at diff. counters.
i swear their service IS HORRIBLE!!!

since i've wasted my time there, i decided nt to enroll
on tt day itself. so i asked dad to drop me off at bedok.
waited for sue at bedok mrt station & we headed off
to town. started off at Far East & had our dinner there
before making our way down to heeren & cineplex.

at cineplex, we dashed straight into an accessories
& bought sme earrings for ourselves before we made
our way to Somerset mrt station to go hme.

earrings gg at $0.90 per pair w/a minimum
purchase of 2 pairs, rings at $1 each & the
brown bangle at $3.90 only...cheap right!!

Over the weekends, i surfed the net and cme across
a website for crossword puzzle maker. since murali
suggested tt we do a crossword puzzle as the design
for our 'gang' tee, i deceided to be proactive & cme
up with the puzzle.

& voila! Here's the outcome of the puzzle.

All tt's needed nw is for everyone's agreement
on the design & we cn proceed with the ordering
& printing of our tees.

Part 3: The Surprise 22nd Birthday Celebratn by Sue&Dani

Sue&Dani asked me out to give me a surprise for
my 22nd birthday.hence syg&me rode to Marina
Barrage where they were waiting while lighting up
the candles for umpteenth time due to the wind.
Sue even cooked up sme bolognese spaghetti with
lots & lots of cheese in it as well as peach jelly
cocktail for dessert. Since the shuttle bus frm the
barrage leaves at 7.15pm,they had to rush for it
while syg&me took a nice walk at the green roof
top before we headed off to Esplanade to meet them
again. Chilled out at Esplanade before we slowly
walk to the fountain nearby & took jump shots.
At ten we made our separate ways & syg sent me hme.

Part 1: The Surprised Dinner at Carlton Hotel

On June 22, 2009, my dearest beloved made a
dinner reservation smewhere near Chimjes he claimed.
And i was surprised when it turned out to be a dinner
buffet at Carlton Hotel!! i was so surprised tt i was
speechless & beaming all the time!! i definitely ate to
my fill as syg "threatened" me tt i hve to eat alot so tt
it would be worth every single cent...heheh

And during dinner, i was given another surprise when
the waitress cme with a slice of double choc cake with
a litted candle on it & wished me Happy Birthday.
Beloved started to sing the bday song for me. aftr he
did so, he gave me a bday kiss & i blew the flame.
i was smiling frm ear-to-ear!!

aftr dinner, we took a ride while deciding on the nxt
destination to go & decided on Clarke Quay. we took
nearly half an hr just to reach there as we made a
couple of wrong turns tt ended us up back to PIE.
a walk along Clarke Quay to end the lovely night
before beloved sent me hme.

been up & abt with so many things esp whn a new
term hve begun & the 22nd bday hve juz passed.

shopping!! we bought so much food tt we spent
abt $333+...aftr which we headed down to Lau
Pasat for dinner...SATAY BABAT MY FAV. is

the new mini air-freshener for my rm for
$15 which was actually meant for car use...

on sun noon, went out with mom to east pt 1st
to buy her diabetes tea & seba med facial cream.
aftr which we took da train back to tamp & walked
arnd cold storage at tamp 1...since there wasnt
much to look at there, we walked to TM & i
bought a pair of brown wedges for $34.90 frm
Charles & Keith and im so loving it!!!

we then went to CS & i almost bought 2 more pairs
of shoes frm Mondo...one pair for $19.90 & the 2nd
pair for $10...bt mom said it was a lil' big for me...
then i decided on another pair tt was $9.90 (a pair
of purple heels)...bt apparently they didnt hve any
new pair since the last pair left had been tried on by
so many other customers tt it stretched the material.
I chose another pair of snake-like skin heels and they
too were out of small sizes...DARN!!! if only they had it.

oh well...mebe i'll check out at other outlets then.

-The Aftr Exam Celebration-

will be doing this update in 2 parts.
firstly, the dinner & mini bday celebration
for Rahim's 25th at Pasta Mania. the ride to
Plaza Singapura in Imran's car so tt we'll be
ahead of the rest. This was pre-planned so
tt we ladies hve ample time to buy a cake &
make a reservation for dinner. We initially
agreed on Pizza Hut. But due to the over-
whelming reservatns made by others, we
decided with Pasta Mania. we bought an oreo
cheesecake frm a cake shop( i forgot its name)
& had them hold on to it 1st till dinner was over
since pasta mania & the cake shop was nearby.

aftr dinner, laura & me excused oursleves to the
ladies whn we actually went to take the cake &
had the candles prepared. We had him caught by
surprised & all 16 of us sang him a bday song wif
all our hearts, so loud so tt he was embarrassed
tt his cheeks blushed all pinky...heheh

And to add to the fun, we PURPOSELY had him
feed everyone arnd him starting with our
MISS SUNSHINE of coz!!!hehehe.. (smart thinking
huh since i purposely had the two seats on my left
empty so tt they had no choice bt to seat nxt to
each other)...& of coz, all the cameras was up to snap
tt oh-so-sweet-and-lovely pic...heehehe...

-The Pathology Presentation-

dated on June 4, 2009 on a thursday evening.
Group C had our final assessed pathology presentation.
my group (Hui Ting, Jacqueline, Kwan Siong, Nadia & Me)
presented on the topic: Antibodies to Anti-Cytoplasmic
Antigen in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus.
sounds chimmed right??hahah...well, obviously it was.
we spent so many days & even our weekends juz trying
to find the right info & collating & editing our poster.
We spent so much time on our BIG poster tt we
rushed our 'baby' poster within 1 day. Thankfully,
we managed to keep to our timings during the
presentation & tt our lecturer was so impressed
with our poster & us tt she had difficulty trying
to think of qns to ask us.hehehe...
That goes to show we did an excellent job!!

been busy w/my blogshop & handling of
customers. plus the gf big day...hence, the

The Girlfriend's Wedding

Wedding bells rang for the gf on sat (May 16,2009)
where she's officially married to her love, Hairee.
sadly, i wasnt able to attend her solemnisation. hence
the lack of pics...Attended her wedding on sun with
my other gfs, shahna'z & gayu. For once, and i meant
ONCE, gf look ALL so feminine & sweet frm her usual
tomboyish & rugged ways...(apart frm her engagement
day ie.)...she had make-up on & heels too!!!goodness!!
there will be no other day tt u'll ever, and i really mean
EVER see her in heels. she's always in her sport shoes
(Adidas usually) & jeans & tee...all the better when
she's a warden police officer at changi prison!!!

aniway, im truly happy for her. (im still trying to get
over the fact tt she gt married!!). i felt like tearing
to see my gf (one of my closest) to be on the pelamin.
even she was seen teary-eyed aftr the groom sat beside her.
im truly happy for you gerl!

Met up w/Shahna'z at almost 7pm at dover platform
& made our way to woodlands. had our dinner at
Mac since gayu was still in serangoon buying the
henna stuff. arrived at gf hse at 8plus followed by
gayu & rena half an hr ltr. gve gf her surprised
gift frm us before starting w/the henna drawing.
ended the night at abt 11.30pm & cabbed our way
back hme separately.

The initial plan to meet up w/the gerls was cancelled
at the very last min due to sme reasons. hence gf met

(Molly Malone's). walked our way to marina sq. & had a
long conversation over our dinner at Carls Jr. before heading hme.

Met up w/Shahna'z on Mon evening to cthall to
find a gift for the bachelorette night.we entered
the SEX shop nearby peninsular. the salesgirl
(a malay gerl ok!!) asked us wht we're looking

replied," Usually for gerls, you get them a vibrator."
Both of us turned & looked @ each other, speechless!!
And she continued, saying tt if its for men, its on
the other side of the shop where u'll find all other
sorts of sex toys. errrmmm...feeling rather awkward
abt it, we thanked the gerl & left.

We made our way down to bugis st & found these

Apologies for the lack of updates.Been busy with
so many things on my schedule. Updates on the
last 2 weeks outdated pics. The most recent being
the celebration of the Mother's Day. Nothing

decided to give it a pass. though Danny had to

Dinner Outing @ Seoul Garden

time: 6pm-10.30pm

had dinner at Seoul Garden in Marina Sq.
The early birds were Anne, Me&Boyfie & Liz.
Nadia & Laura cme nxt with Huiting&Leonard
a few mins ltr. Yoshi ltr then cme with Kwan Siong.
Lastly, our Mr Macho, Rahim, arrived at 7.30pm.
The dinner rate was more than expected.$31/person
inclusive of free-flow drinks, service charge & GST.
But aftr a 10% discount using the Zingrill Preferred
Card, each paid abt $26. We ate to our fill while we
laughed our ass off with all the funny stories & jokes
especially cracked up by Anne which made me teared.
We stayed till 9.45pm before making our way to the
Esplanade. Took sme pics while waiting for Murali's
arrival. There was a band performing on the Waterfront.
A 3piece Thailand origin band with a female as their
drummer. Awesome performance i hve to say. Anne,
Liz & Rahim took their leave while the rest went to
meet-up with Stan&Mich, Murali & Mehraj before
heading down to DXO for clubbing.

As morbid as it seemed, i choose to deny the fact that i
need to revamp this stale & sedentary blog that has been
the victim to my blogshop updates only. Despite being too
attached to the cyber world, I've miserably failed to make
any efforts to update on MY life. Just a click can disorientate
my being. Paranoidly checking my emails every single time
of the day or just being immensely obliged to Facebook. How
ironic that we would subject ourselves to such responsibility
of unnecessities & yet neglect our primary obligations.

On a side note, I always find myself swimming in an oasis,
analyzing your thoughts perpetually. My selfish ignorance
at times could be detrimental yet you stubbornly choose to
stay by. We rarely agree with each others' opinions yet we
keep running back & clinging to each others' shoulder. Spare
me your preachings about being independent. Even you
self-reliant beings cynically choose to deny the need to be
pampered when for the fact that we can't help but wanting
to feel treasured & appreciated at times.
At least I'm well aware of my integrity.

I shamefully admit how much i admire your courage, making
it look so effortless even though i knew it's draining your patience
away. Still, i enjoy being mad with you frm time to time just
because i know you wouldn't turn your back on me. No wonder
i give up looking for a replacement even before i think about it.
Because darling, you got me stuck with you.

Pardon me for mia-ing frm my blog for the
past week.Been caught up w/preparations
& discussions for the upcoming presentation.
Tues-Thurs, i had been gg over to Darling
Nadia's hse w/the rest to do our project.

And OMG!!i cn simply grow fat by staying
at Nadia's hse!! her mom made prawn oglio
for lunch...we had chocz fondue w/apples,
kiwis,bananas,ice-cream & of coz, MARSHMALLOWS!!
so heavenly divine!!!we had oglio again for dinner.
the following day we had pizza hut & OCK...
20pcs of spicy drumlets & 2 medium pizzas, sushis
& chicx rice for dinner which her parents bought
for us frm Banquet!!& our thurs, we had KFC
family feast B & OCK!!!OMG!!!!
so horrible lar this gerl...stuff me all the way..hahah

aniwaes, on fri, had a movie date w/darling at
Bugis since i had a Shaw Movie Coupon...

received a msg frm darling Azlin asking me to

on May 17,2009...apparently she cant since she's

since dear Azlin wont be able to enjoy singlehood life

gerls night for Azlin..aint we all excited...Azlin will be the

Having no plans for the evening,we listed out
any mkn places tt crossed our minds. Simpang
Bedok,Mad Jack's, Bedok corner,Beach Rd,
Lagoon,etc...Us being fickle-minded then settled
for Bedok Corner, opp bedok camp. We took
another 15mins or so deciding wht to eat. Since
the BBQ stall looks tempting, i had their chicx
cutlet w/rice & syg had fried kway teow. He was
upset he couldnt find the stall tt's selling opir.
We also ordered fried oysters omelette & had
lemon cane & fresh lime juice for drinks. We ate
to fullness & was left to decide again on our nxt
destination.

Finally, I suggested on gg riding arnd Spore &
he suggested to go to Kent Ridge Park. It was
my first & his second's visit there. There was
so many bends up the hill tt it was called the
"99 Bends". Definitely a great place to go riding/
drifting though many accidents hve happened
there according to syg. Up on the hill, it was so
serene & a few couples we're having dinner
quietly over a conversation, w/one of them
having candles lit-up arnd.How romantic isnt
it w/such nice trainquil ambience...

Aftr our short trip there, we headed down nt
knwing where we're heading to. Hence we made
a turn on the right, towards nowhere only to
realise tt we're gg towards West Coast. Made
more turns then & ended up at Boon Lay. Following
the signs, we went straight down, made U-turns,
left & right turns & saw IMM ahead. And tt was
our final destination. Since syg had nvr been there,
i brought him arnd the mall. He had milkshake & i
had hot fudge sundae before we left for hme.

Had a date with syg the following day (saturday).
Plans were made to head down to PS to watch
Detroit Metal City at 4plus. Bt we got caught in
the bad weather along PIE & had to exit to Eunos
& get to the nearest shelter, a bus-stop & overhead
bridge. Waited for almost an hr for the rain to subside
before continuing with our journey.Hence we weren't
able to make it on time. Instead we thought of getting
the 6plus tix. BUT!!!the tixs were ALL sold out!!!
DAMN!!!hence we called off the movie & had dinner
at Kopitiam. Then we walk arnd before heading off
to Far East & walked arnd again. Before we realise, it
was 9pm & we made our way hme.

Thnx syg for the lovely day. Despite not being able to
catch a movie, we're still able to spend time together.
Especially while we're stuck at the overhead bridge
when it was pouring.

movie outing at Cathay in the evening.
Initial plan was to watch Friday the 13th.
Bt aftr realising tt i wont be out in a mth,
we decided to watch this instead.
Sme of them cudnt make it due to sme
reasons. Hence 8 of us went on with the
plan though sme we're late...

a family-based comedy tt will definitely
tickle your stomach...the movie goers in
the theatre definitely laughed their hearts out..

Aftr dinner, we slowly made our way back to

bugis while we hve a long chat abt sme probs.

We even sat at a bus-stop juz to talk. And at

9plus,we made our way back to the train station

had a surprise msg frm yaya aka. makciks..she asked me
if i was free today coz she had 4 free movie tixs & shereen
cudnt cme,so she asked me along..& of coz i said YES!! since
i didnt hve sch...met up at 3.15pm to be exact & headed
down to Lido...gt the tixs before having lunch at LJS (my
treat since she invited me to watch FREE movie)...we watched
'He's Just Not Into You' at 4.30pm which ended 2hrs ltr...made
a quick buy at Isetan (she bought a Levis tshirt at a sale price
of $25 only!!)...then we head back up & bought the Nachos Combo 5...
with iced milo...& went to watch 'Marley And Me' at 7pm...it ended
at 9pm aftr which we headed back to tamp & i mit boyfie aftr
seeing her off...(not forgetting as usual when with her, we
camwhored while waiting for our train)

Lecture for HPP (Human Physiology & Pharmacology)
on thurs was cancelled...hence,I managed to meet-up
with darling Shahna'z & Carolin at Marina Sq at 4pm.
Carolin came back to Spore on tues aftrnoon & left
on thurs night...hence the short meet-up of 2hrs before
she rush hme & get ready for her flight..We had our
conversations while having sme desserts at Andersen's
Ice-cream before we hugged & bye-ed each other.

Aftr which,I made my way to bugis library while waiting
for syg to end sch at 9pm...within 2hrs,I managed to finish
a novel of abt 200pgs before starting on The Da Vinci Code.

Finally i got my hands on this...

despite its tattered condition...

Happy Brownie concoctions tt i had...

w/my own choice of ice-cream...

thurs was our last meeting till she returns in Nov...

A movie date with Ms.Kimmy aftr a week of
I-miss-you...watched Slumdog Millionaire at
Marina Sq. at 7pm...collected my GV member-
ship card since i've applied for it..And since it
was tues, GV member card holders get to purchase
tix at $6.50 each!!! aftr movie,which ended 2hrs
ltr,we had dinner at Carls Jr. coz i was craving
for their beef chilli cheese fries!!superb!!
we talked,laughed,joked & camwhored till 10+
before making our way hme...

Engrossed on reading this for 2hrs each
day for the last 2days...I've finally completed
this book tt darling Nadia lended to me
abt 3wks ago...And i cant wait for its movie
to be out this June!!

rated 4/5 though it brings you on a
rollercoaster ride when reading it...

try reading it upside down & you'll find yourself
reading the exact same word due to its symmetry..

and the four elements:
Earth,Air,Fire & Water...
readable in the same was as Illuminati..

now tt im done with Angels & Demons,
im hoping tt i could read The Da Vince Code
as ive watched the movie twice bt hve yet
to read the novel itself...anyone has it &
willing to lend it to me??

And oh yes...it actually slipped off my mind tt
after my last paper which was last Wed aftrnoon..
we went shopping since our exam venue was at
MDIS Dhoby Ghaut..a total of 17 of us went mkn
at Pizza Hut in PS...we spent a total of almost $200
coz we're able to purchase the student's value meal.
aftr which sme of the guys left for werk while da rest
of the guys when gaming at sme plaza & as for we
gerls..the 6 of us went SHOPPING!!!

we bought a pair of shoes for ardy..his bday gift
from us gerls...we bought nail polishers frm the
Face Shop...for only $2.90 each..had toasts &
drinks at sme Japanese restaurant...we went
window shopping at a scrap bk shop on L2...
*ideas,ideas,ideas*...they had awesome collage
of pics tt was made using diff papers w/diff.
themes...we spent sme tyme browsing thru
Spotlight as well...we practically walked arnd
PS on each & every single level for god-knows
how many tymes...& finally,we ended the night
by watching "The Wedding Game" at 7.05pm..

4 popcorns out of 5 i had rate it...

~February Babies Bday Celebrations~

date: February 13,2009

location: Tanjong beach,Sentosa

laura,nadia & me met up first at harbourfront
to get a bday present for yoshi...bought a lee coq
bag for him aftr which we went to Bengawan Solo to
get a bday cake...of which 23 & 26 candles were
placed on the cake for ardy & yoshi's bday...
meet-up with the rest of the gang at the monorail
station where majority gathered by 8.30pm...took a
shuttle bus to tanjong beach where we settled down
in the middle of the beach in darkness...had our
dinner which murali,delia & ardy bought...kfc
family deal & pizza hut family pack...had a
game tt murali suggested while waiting for kwan siong
& yoshi to cme...we lit up the cake & sang a
bday song for the both of them...by then it was 10.30pm...
gave them their presents...& the rest was history...
glad the guys are happy with their bday presents...

An early meet-up w/Syg to help him wash & wax
his bike before heading off to Airport to study
turned out to be a lazy day for us...We only
managed to give the bike a gd clean before gg
to airport for dinner at Popeye's in T3...bought
sme chocz from Candy Empire before moving
on to the viewing hall.after finding a spot,we
camwhored & even took a short nap instead
of studying.time flies & it was 10pm,time for
us to head hme as we're both sleepy.

was found snoring peacefully at a corner.syg laid

on the chairs while I took pics of him...& at 11pm

we decided to call it a day.

Update 2. Amin & Mimie Wedding Dinner

date: January 31, 2009
day: Saturday

location: Jurong west

informal punk rock wedding dinner at jurong west
by the newly-weds. preparations & rehearsals were
made to ensure that everything went as planned.
bridesmaids checked.bestmans checked. usherers
checked. audiomen checked. flowergirls checked.
Mcs checked and receptionists checked.
everything was settled by 6pm with the gerls getting
ready before the event started. fake lashes in place.
make-up & perfumes applied. and of coz our dress code
:-white for everyone checked. Mimie was pleased that
everyone dressed-up for the occassion.
dinner began at abt 8pm when guests began to stroll
& ushered to the reception area to write the guestbook.
our newly-weds were ushered by our bridesmaids &
bestmen to the aisle as petals of roses showered them by
our flowergirls. Live band performances & a photo montage
of the newly-weds were presented...And a performance
by Amin ended the night with Mimie alongside with him
to give her support. A blissful & a wonderful night indeed.

gerls was fun & looking forward to the next one after

our exams!!!

Event 3) Sentosa Getaway

date: December 28-30, 2008
day: sunday-tuesday
time: 1.30pm-3pm

had a short getaway at Sentosa for 3D2N with my family...

stayed at Siloso Beach Resort...2 rooms for 3D2N package

for $900++...on the first day we went to Vivo for dinner

(mom didnt tag along as she was lazy)..aftr we went back

to our room, we walked arnd Sentosa for awhile & snapped

sme pics..had breakfast the nxt morning...me & my bro

explored sentosa on our own aftr dat..in the evening we went

on the Cineblast & 4D Magix ride and dad managed to get for

us the tix to the "Songs of The Sea" at 8.40pm...hence we ended

the night watching the show & bought a small souvenier for ourselves...

on the last day,we went onto "The Sky Tower" aftr checking-out...

We headed to Marina Barrage before heading hme...

Sentosa Getaway

my feet ached, im all tired & exhausted

& definitely deprived of sleep!!!

BUT!!! im glad to say tt 2008 ended in the

most memorable & fun way!!!

bbq food have to be done tt night.Chalet begins the

plans made for the eve of xmas had to be altered
due to the rainy season...initial plan was to go to
mt faber & henderson wave before gg for a movie
at vivo...since it rained,we stayed at syg's plc for
awhile while we had kfc for lunch there...left his
hse at almost 6pm & bought tix for 'Twilight' at
the AXS machine for the 6.45pm slot at marina.
aftr the movie,we went window-shopping bt i
ended up buying a long sleeve top frm Mango
coz it was gg at a price of $10!!!murah giler babs!!!
den had supper at Mr Teh Tarik at 400+ before
heading hme...

went shopping for party stuffs at bugis with nadia
& laura for the New Year's Countdown chalet...aftr
which we headed down to orchard to meet-up with
the rest for a 4hr karaoke session at Party World...
it was my FIRST EVER karaoke session...nvr really
sing before till last night...i sang sembilu by ella(solo),
sme other songs with the gerls & duet with syg a song
by achik&nana-Resipi Berkasih...our total expenditure
for the night sums up to $200++...hence each paid abt
$18 inclusive of our drinks & aftr a 15% discount...It was
definitely EXPENSIVE!! bt worth the fun though...im
sooooo looking forward to another karaoke session again..
bt mebe smewhere cheaper...heheh...

celebrate it before...bt this yr was diff...ever since

laura suggested to do a X'mas gifts' xchange,ive

received a vanilla candle holder set frm nadia, a X'mas

card frm huiting & another rose-scented candles frm jacq.

bt the most sweetest gift i ever got was the card tt huiting

gave.it has a picture of us girls in our bowling shoes!!

met up with my dearies..and yes..i WAS late..
was an hr late coz the train journey was delayed
in between tampines-bedok...had our dinner at
Sakura's aftr which Azlin had to leave...we gerls
headed down to Raffles City & window-shopped.
bt shahna'z wanting to hve waffles & ice-cream
at Gelare,we went to Suntec City...due to the
crowd,we had our waffles at Waffles Cottage
Place...probably another meet-up to set on...
before carolin fly off on December 16...

met up with my darlings & Mr Koh at Suntec City's
Mac Donalds for a discussion of our lab report...aftr
which we gerls head over to Marina Square for dinner
at Seoul Garden...paid $23+ per head aftr a 10% discount
off a NTUC card...we had such awesome time laughing
our ass off when our darling huiting,was pranked on
how yummy & delicious eating hotdogs & prawns dipped
in chocolate fondue...hahah..such a weird combi definitely..

~Class Outing '08~

date: november 29,2008
day: saturday
time: 5.30pm - 11.30pm
venue: Marina Square & Makan Sutra

initial mit-up time was supposed to be at 5pm at
Marina Sq's bowling arena.bt everyone only cme
in slowly at abt 7+pm...me,Huiting,Kwan Siong,
Nadia & Jacqueline were the early birds.hence we
head to Raffles City to get a bdae present for Murali.

Bought Chocz for him at Cocoa Tree & we bought
2dozens ofdonuts from Donut Factory...headed down
to Mc Donalds at marina for sme desserts while
waiting for murali & rahim to join us..aftr which we
headed to the arcade for a game of Daytona & preview
of Kwan Siong & Jacq para-para dancing...went bowling
then aftr laura arrived...Anne,Julizma,Michelle,Stan,
Yoshi & Imran joined us ltr on...more para-para aftr
bowling and head down to Makan Sutra nxt to Esplanade
at 10pm...had dinner there (ardy,dawn,vinod,yoshi's gf &
jacq's fren joined us then) aftr which everyone took a cab
down to Clarke Quay for clubbing while Liz,Anne,Rahim &
me made our way hme.

It was great tt everyone was there for the first time though
Kasturi cudnt join us as she had tonsilitis...but the day was
AWESOME and spells for F-U-N!!more outing please!!!
